The Muis Zakat Financial Assistance (FA) is available to all Muslim Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who are in the bottom 7% of national income earners in Singapore.

Based on this approach, to qualify for Zakat FA, the applicant will be assessed mainly by their Per Capita Income (PCI). Zakat is rendered to those with a PCI of $500 or lower.

1. Call or visit a Social Development (SD) mosque nearest to the applicant’s official residential address.
2. Make an appointment with a Social Development Officer (SDO) for an assessment interview via a telephone call.
3. Applicant to submit via email: personal identification documents (NRIC, birth certificate), income and bank documents (payslips, CPF statements, bank books etc.), and other relevant supporting documents (bills, medical memos, referral letters etc.).
4. Applicant will be notified of outcome by mail. Application process may take between 6 to 8 weeks after all required supporting documents have been submitted.
